Starting with the class of 2009, all Hiram students must satisfy a General Education Capstone Requirement in at least one of their majors. The philosophy department offers several ways for its students to do so.

1. Completetion of an Honor's Thesis.
2. A Senior Thesis Project
3. Completetion of 400 level seminars which include Research paper and presentation.
